Texitgroup.com is the website for the Textile Institute Information Technology Group and much more. The site is part of International Technology Links Limited which has been created to improve the technology links between suppliers and customers, research and industry.
This website contains the following features:
Information on textile related computer systems, and suppliers.
This includes a database of current computer systems, new software under development and suppliers of software.
The systems database can be searched by sector and country to ensure the supply of relevant information and is accessed via the Systems button.
Information on new systems under development or considered for development can be accessed via the New Development button.
The supplier database can be accessed via the Suppliers button.
Discussion areas
These discussion pages are to allow companies to share their experiences of computer systems and their implementation. Companies with common problems can then discuss corrective measures themselves or raise the areas with texitgroup.com.
The discussion pages can also be used by textile manufacturers to inform suppliers that they are looking for systems and this can reduce the time and effort involved via traditional means.
An Industry Needs section is also included where textile companies can describe their software needs. This is intended as a forum for companies who have checked existing software and been unable to find what they are looking for.
